is there a way to bypass plesk and install myadmin without using plesk on a dedicated server if so can you provide a tutorial on how to do this plesk is a pain in the butt i preffer to just go straight to phpmyadmin via site url and ports rather than log on to plesk to create the domain and myadmin in plesk

I use Plesk 9 and i like, i got used to it, maybe you should try more :P
If not then you could try LxAdmin which is free...
