Changing announce url

Hi,

I was just wondering how I could change my tracker announce url...

As currently when you download a torrent from the tracker it says:

http://www.blahblah.com/announce.php?pid=whatever

I really want to change it so that instead of having "announce.php?pid=whatever" would it be possible to change it to something along the lines of "announce.php/pid=whatever"

I've tried editing this in the download.php and announce.php but it never seems to work...If anyone knows how, please let me know!
