Forgot Settings Panel Pincode
Hello, i have a big problem, one of our SySops was changing Setting Panel Pincode, and he did smth wrong so we are now cut off from it, the old one doesn't work and we don't know new one (looks like his web browser autofill forms addon did us a little trick)... Any way to change it? I have full access both SSH and Mysql.
The site is powered by TS Special Edition v.5.7 I tried to ask on TS forums but all i got was a link to support where i need my customer number and a pass (witch are long gone along with site founder - that was some years ago nad staff changed many times) |

This works for 7.2 I don't know if it will for for yours tho. Worth a shot if you ask me :D
Download attached file, Extract it, Upload change_pincode.php file on root server, Run the script (yoursite.com/change_pincode.php) Enter the new Pincode and click on Submit button, Login to Staff Panel, Delete the file (change_pincode.php) |

Can you not do it via the database? I wouldn't be running xam's encrypted code, you never know what it's doing
If you go into your database via phpmyadmin, and select the pincode table... Now, select "edit", remove the current value from pincode and add this: 055ed5ca4181c149055f4e303de72a2f Now under "sechash" remove the current value, and replace with the below: d41d8cd98f00b204e9800998ecf8427e Leave area set to 1, and click "Go", your settings panel password/pin should now be: "bvlist" (without quotations) |
