Where can I find the email configuration file, users who have a hotmail account correctly receive emails from the site, while users who have a gmail account are unable to receive any emails!

Admincp>Dashboard>Options>Email Options

hi miralsplet, the email settings are already set, except that users with accounts like username@gmail.com do not receive any emails, not even in spam etc...

do you have an external smtp mail server installed and running?
do you have the normal sendmail?

I will review and test it on our portal and let you know.

gmail will reject any emails arriving from mail servers that aren't properly configured (MX, CNAME, DMARC, SPF, TXT)
if you look into the mail.log you will see this
another option will be that your server ip is blacklisted due to spam

I use normal sendmail !!

then that's your problem.
configure it properly or use some other mail server/service.
