How to create a torrent website

Hello every one

Please do not laugh for this simple basic newbie question

I am still googling for how to create a torrent website and really can not find a simple direct streat answer or any tutorials for how to do so.

Also I do not know exactly the tools required to have a one. I do not mean the software required to have a one like php, apache, mysql. But I mean the tools associated with the torrent itself. I mean the elements of the torrent website. For example when I need a forum I go and download a forum software like phpBB and upload the source then create a database and add user then run the install script and add MODs if needed and so on ...etc (I do nto know how to describe it exactly) but I hope that you give me an excuse for this.

I've read that the TBDev is the way to go but tried to post in thier forum asking for what to do or how to start but got no reply several times as if I was talking in the space. (I do not know if this opinion about BTDev is right or not).

So please may any one give me few minutes and reply to this topic as I am really do not know where to start or how to have a torrent website.

Thanks for your time

A few questions to help us answer your question better..

What do you want out of your torrent site?
What kind of torrents do you want to track?
Do you want it to be members only?

Thanks a lot for your reply

Here is how the need for the torrent website raised up to my mind with some other friends which will be the team.
I am studying for some designations and my friends the same and there aren't any of the required materials around and we were joining any study group to buy the required materials to safe some money.
Later on we thought why not to gather all the materials we can get in different areas and have them all in one place.
Later on we thought about the torrent website that will include everything and we can make money of it as it will include valuable resources that almost won't be else where.
So this is what I need from the torrent website:
1- To help people like me who try to get the materials free.
2- To gain some money if possible but it is not a mandatory as each member will get 5 GB upload credit upon joining.

All will be educational torrents, and some few software for the same purposes.

Most of the torrent tracker software here have install(setup) scripts wich make it very easy to install them.
You must bear in mind you stell need to figure out what you want as far as
mods
You well need nolige in php to fix any problems that may come up with your script
that you select.

TBDev is a good source they have been around for ages.
Yuna Scatari is also a vary good script with a very friendly staff.
My favorite phpMy BitTorrent also a vary good script with a very friendly staff:ok:ME
we are all very happy to help you with any trouble you may run into here all you need to do is ask.

Ok I will go with phpMyBitTorrent

But where I can find a documentation for how to install it or install the required software to start with it?

Well if thats your attitude I can tell you right now your site will fail in a big way. If you honestly think that running a torrent site will bring you money in you are seriously mistaken.

phpMyBitTorrent 2.0.3 has documentation included with it's pack
setting-up.txt
The files can be found on sourceforge here

Actually money is not a mandatory for me at all but in case it can come I will glad and if it is not then I will be fine as having a torrent website is a pleasure itself for me.
