phpmybittorrent on a desktop PC

I wanted to try out phpmybitorrent for a public tracker site I'm setting up(hosted on my PC) so I went ahead and downloaded the software and extracted it.
The documentation is not very clear What is being referred to here exactly [After extracting the archive, upload the contents of the html folder to your root web directory. The name of this folder varies depending on your hosting provider, but in many cases it’s named “httpdocs”].
Where shall I copy the files in the HTML folder to??
I would appreciate any help.
Thank you.

hi

once you extract them you may end up with html folder with all the files and folder source code inside :yes
the files and folders inside the html folder want adding inside your httpdocs/or in other cases, www, folder depending on yoursetup

I'm on Lubuntu 13.04 Desktop version with all the required packages(for PMBT) installed FYI.
Is there anyway you could tell me exactly where I should copy the files(in the HTML folder) to?(ask me for any info you want about the PC)
Thank you.

Hey Joe,
Thanks for clearing that.
This one's prolly a stupid q but I will ask away.
Do I need PHPmyadmin during the setup part of PMBT or can I completely uninstall it to avoid any confusion?

joeroberts 28th April 2013 15:12

you well need it to make the data base its self as far as the tables go the setup well do that.
