NetManiack v1.6

Attention

- OLD SOURCE
- NO SUPPORT

Install guide:

1. upload to your root
2. cmd to 0777 torrents dir and log.txt (unix only)
3. edit bittorrent.php and secrets.php in include dir
4. import db from SQL directory (3files)
5. edit in chat.php

Tracker chat channel is #mytracker

irc://irc.server.net:6667 = irc://server:port

/mytracker = your channel

#mytracker = your channel

find and change server.net to your irc server

and find and change #mytracker to your channel

6. edit .htaccess

find all localhosts and change it to your tracker address, and change localhost to your addres in errorpages to (403.php 404.php 500.php)

7. run http://yourtrackeraddress.com/collation-fix.php and DELETE IT!! and do the same whit SQL dir !!!

8. edit configuration in announce.php
9. edit in bittorrent.php line 465

10. Change text in bittorrent.php, ReadY sALTEd PeanutS, whit whatever you want (f.e. i like pie)
11. Change in password_protect.php

admin to some name

Tips:

1. If you have more than 1 language, uncomment 125 line in my.php. (language support is currently in alpha stage)

from your announce.php script, then seeding/leeching will work. If that is not working problem is in your server.

confirmation for gmail.com works ok but for yahoo.com it gives me this error:

Something is not setup how it should be with your smtp server, delete the actual users from insifde the smtp server and make another one with your own admin name + password

smtp server was faulty ... made changes and now it works :)

2 more questions :

1. If torrent is Multi-tracker/DHT torrent and/or includes other crap, tracker will remove that !

Announce url is http://wbb.ro shouldn`t that be http://wbb.ro/announce.php ?

2. how to enable right click ?

and another one when i ulpload and try to seed it doesn`t show me as peer

For XAMPP mail problems you must correctly configure the e-mail client (mercury32)
OR
If you don`t want e-mail confirmation for users you should use the "nomail" addon:

Replace the files from server with the ones from the archive No_MAIL_ADDON found in the first post

when you make a torrent with your torrent client (ex. utorrent) you need to make it private, just click the "private torrent" box and if you use other torrent clients for your torrents you must not enable DHT

YES, after you upload a torrent you must download it after that from the tracker and only then star seeding it !

I want to ask you how to modify in xampp control panel mysql . I press the admi button asnd want to modify something with the enviroment : Local Host Name , Local User Name , OS Platform , Local IP Address ;

It is very easy to setup Mercury mail server:

If you want to use the email function start the "XAMPP Control Panel" then start "Mercury" then press the "Admin" button:

When you create a torrent with your torrent client (ex. utorrent) you must select the "private torrent" box and with other torrent clients (ex bitcomet) you must disable DHT

Did you disable DHT when you made the torrent ?
Did you make the torrent private ?

The host is wrong only in mysql enviroment ..... i say 2-3 days ago .. thx man but i dont finish this work . You are the best . Thenx for help . i reinstallthe server and don't work :(

I don`t know what is wrong, maybe you didn`t made the correct setup
check your settings in secrets.php bittorrents.php and announce.php

if you see a blank page and no errors then maybe the pic folder is not linked correctly in bittorrent.php

in bittorrent.php on line 135 I have:

i found the mistake...the server was the problem. now i found a beter server but i have another problem. i upload on the server the languages dir and i receive the error:

Netmaniac 1.6 supports only Azures and Utorrent , and I want to make him to accept all torrents clients .
Please tell me how to do this ?

Me again ... I have configured the MercuryS smtp server , the same way like Fynnon shwo's as , and when peoples try to signup they didn't receive nothing on mail ... Why ?

did you made new admin in the Mercury with your own password and name?
the e-mail from bittorrent.php must be the same as the one in Mercury

When you install XAMPP in Mercury mail there is an admin by default so you need to delete that one and make another one with your username and password
And in bittorrent.php on line 148-149 you have

$SITEEMAIL = "noreply@localhost";

so you need to change that to the one you have in Mercury mail!

2. Where I find the correct adress for my mail in Mercury mail ?
Mercury mail has a lot of settings , and I don't whant to apply them incorectly
If you want and have time please make a full tutorial about how to use and configurating Mercury mail

from XAMPP control panel start Mercury Mail and then press the Admin button
mercury will open and then Configuration and then to Local Users
there you can see the default users , you have to change them with your username and password
you can leave the Admin username but change the password for it
then you can delete the other two members (new user and postmaster0 or you could leave them but change their passwords...

the email adress of your tracker, the one from where the users will get emails is the one you setup in Mercury mail (Exemple: admin@localhost)
