Default How to stream from pc to tv without wifi or nas ?
My tv does not have wifi or ethernet connection and all my movies are on a HDD in my PC
I don't want to buy a NAS so what other options do i have to get the movies from my pc to the tv?

I run Plex on my computer and Roku connected to my TV with the Plex app installed.

The Roku on its own won't be able to process DTS, you will need to pass this to your AVR.

In my experience only x264 streams well, 720p x265 may do too but i've had mixed results. It would also obviously depend on your internal network.

Google Cromecast Ultra model that has an ethernet connection which would help a lot
that might be the cheapest option but not sure if it can play all my movies and reading around it seems it does not support DTS
