Bump: You cannot download or install new packages because the Packages directory or one of the files in it are not writable

im not sure what do here and what folders to chmod its been a while since i last played with sms

Inside your 'Packages' directory create a folder called 'temp' with permissions 777. This will then allow you to install your packages as normal :)
