Nope works just fine for me just checked again you are doing something wrong.
Upload change_pincode.php file on root server,
Run the script (yoursite.com/change_pincode.php)
Enter the new Pincode and click on Submit button,
Login to Staff Panel,
Delete the file (change_pincode.php)
