I just started developing a new torrent tracker in laravel, all from scratch. I am doing it because most of the source codes out there that exist are very messy and, let's be honest, outdated. i am doing it in laravel and I want to put all my experience in it. I am very new to laravel, but I learn fast.
My problem now is that, in my current implementation (veeery early in dev), the torrents don't start downloading. You can see my detailed problem on

I also have a
public github repository for this project.
This is not a commercial project, I don't get any money for it and I do not intend to sell it. It is going to be completely free and open source.
I will appreciate any help here.
