Re: TBDev Source 2008 rev133

no its tbdev source .. the newer version... searchcloud can be fixed by addin an entry in the sql if i remember correctly .. go to the tbdev forums and the temp fix is posted there.. obviously as with all code its subject to bug fixes ect .. but its good to see another release from the team and its still not jam packed with stuff we dont need (gotta love virgin sources :D )

3. Fix the errors - :wallbash:

this source has by default full error reporting enabled in config.php:
PHP Code:

error_reporting(E_ALL);

try putting that line at top of bittorrent.php with other tbdev sources and you will be overwhelmed with the sheer amount of errors/notices...

this is by far the best tbdev source to date, Coldfusion has fixed all the notice errors that plagued the previous releases and has done a great deal to optimize this vanilla source as well as adding most popular mods (passkey, statusbar, new message system, cached tables, etc.).

this source is not dodgy! however i wouldn't recommend it to n00bs but am recommending it for those with basic php/mysql skills who don't need to ask for support every hour cause of a missing require_once or sumthing. :P

there is a thread at tbdev with fixes for most common issues arising from this alpha release.

i use it on my live site with no issues

:)

Have you chmodded the torrents folder?

Also check your path is correct in include/config.php file, mine was slightly out and I got the same error.

Also the latest release is TBDev 27.06.09

Also keep an eye on this thread TBdev SVN Sourcecode (Codename: Hairy Left Testicle) for bug fixes.

Now it should be used on live tracker ?

Viperia 11th August 2009 11:47

Howdy!

So this code is okay to use for a live tracker? Of course it still needs some work but should this be an okay base or is the code still to unstable/unsecure or anything

Viper

If you visit tbdev.net Coldfusion says that you shut not run a live tracker on any tbdev source.. So its all up to you to make a secure tracker..! :D

have fun..! :D And good week..

You are joking right? The new TBDev 2009 is the most secure one you can download and even then there is a thread on TBDev with known exploits and security fixes for earlier versions.

Moh.ElBaz 2nd September 2009 11:50

@abc

about to give every member 2 GB while signup

you can simply go to phpmyadmin ( or whatever you use ) and change default uploaded GB to whatever you like ...

about the mail ( go out to log on to site ) ... I really cannot understand you at all .

regards

For the default uploaded run this query on your database:
Code:

ALTER TABLE `users` CHANGE `uploaded` `uploaded` BIGINT( 20 ) UNSIGNED NOT NULL DEFAULT '2147483648';
As for setting members to confirmed by default open takesignup.php and find this:
Code:

(!$arr[0]?'confirmed':'pending')
Change to
Code:

'confirmed'
Then find these 2 lines:
Code:

if($arr[0])
  mail($email, "$SITENAME user registration confirmation", $body, "From: $SITEEMAIL", "-f$SITEEMAIL");

And comment them out

Moh.ElBaz 3rd September 2009 04:04

why to make the edit in this complicated steps ? it's very simple ..

The sql query in takesignup.php sets members to pending so unless you're the first member to signup so you can't just change the default value to confirmed in the database, he wanted members to be confirmed straight away without emailing and that is what my posted code does, it sets them to confirmed and stops the site from sending the validation email.

My bad

Code:

if($arr[0])
  mail($email, "$SITENAME user registration confirmation", $body, "From: $SITEEMAIL", "-f$SITEEMAIL");

Also comment out the next line after the 2 lines you've already commented out should be:
Code:

else

i'm a big fan of tbdev releases, especially the black or dark, easy on eyes, skin ones. if they keep up the updates regularly like scam... ooops, i meant xam :)
