its about parameter "Max. IP's?" in tracker settings.

it can be set to "disable" when i understand right to "disable this feature".

means possible to reg again and again from the same ip.

when i set this parameter f.e. to 3, same amount of regs should be possible i think.

but it doesn´t work. if i set to 2 or 3 or another digit the person could NOT register.

does someone know why this feature doesn´t work?

plz help

lol

i think what hes saying is ask your coder to check the settings
or have you even tested them yourself?

or.....??

I always understood it to mean simply the max IP's allowed with different names, to accommodate places like dorms, etc where you have a lot of people signed in on 1 ip, etc. I had a group of brothers at a site running tsse 5.4.1 and they all had the same IP, but different user names, the code would not allow then to all join thinking it was a banned name that was trying to re-register from the same IP, by setting this number higher it allowed all of them to register their different nicks, also had a "group" from a collage dorm all running one ip, they wanted like 15 different nicks, all on the one ip, that would have defeated the purpose of it all.
Now something else to consider in this mess, if you ban the ip for one individual's actions you will take away access for any one else with the same ip. Its a mess, but would be in any code.

yes ok, but so when i set to 2 for example, it must be possible to reg an d login from the same ip.

but that does not work :unknown:
