What are the benefits from doing secure (https) site and anounce ?

Anyone can share any mod ?

HTTPS URLs begin with "https://" and use 443 by default, where begin with "http://" and use 80 by default.
HTTP is unsecured and is subject to man-in-the-middle and eavesdropping attacks, which can let attackers gain access to website accounts and sensitive information. HTTPS is designed to withstand such attacks and is considered secure against such attacks (with the exception of older deprecated versions of SSL).

i thought the point was to buy ssl certificate/ or try a 90 day free trail or get a free one
using kloxo or plesk gives you the cp standard ssl which also works
then you upload to your server
then you edit your url and announce then reboot

now your sites using ssl
https://www.mysite.com/announce.php
https://www.mysite.com

using ts you just edit the urls in the settings panel then there you go only downfall is shoutbox messages only show when you https and not http

I did not do secure the announce though.
