Its good that you are trying make your site/theme cross browser compatible.
Have a look at the div class that's relevant to the div in question, a good idea would be to check padding.
Also check your stylesheet at http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator

Chrome is a very poplular browser so its a good idea to fix any non-compatibility problems.

first i would like to say its not my theme m8, i was just offering some support to these users who had a problem with the overlay in this particular theme. I am a theme developer for the xbtit projects and since these guys use the xbtit software i like to give support here along with support of the official support forums.

I wouldnt even attempt to validate the css file in this theme its written with mostly depreciated values as are many of the old themes.

I could have rewritten the whole theme with valid standards but don't have the time for that atm so just offered a quick fix.

But your right about chrome m8 its a very good browser and any theme created should be created to work with all browsers without issues i hate to see people say tell your users to use a different browser we all have our preferences in life and things we get used to why make people change what they like, i do prefer firefox myself even though its become very buggy lately its still my favorite, and im currently using the nightly version of firefox which dont seem to have the crash problems as regular firefox and seems to load pages faster, if your already using firefox i would recommend to give this a try you can install as seperate browser and run it as a seperate browser if you dont set it as default browser you still have the option to use regular firefox, and the good thing is it uses all your addons and bookmarks you already have in firefox so no messing around after install :)
