Video tutorial : Install of ZenTracker on Ubuntu

Hi guys !

I've recorded a screencast showing you how to install ZenTracker quickly (10-15min realtime). I started with a clean fresh install of Ubuntu 11.04.

Here is the link : www.youtube.com/watch?v=lI09JMm-oIw

Excuse my bad accent ^^
So, I've to continue the translation ;) . Have fun !

uhhhmmm the rest of us.....

I hear of a new os out called windows, or something like that, you got tutorial for that?

Optix 17th September 2011 00:02

The first video that i wanted to shoot is under Windows XP & WAMP.

But the problem, memcache is missing. You're loosing 5 minutes to download, install it and add extension line in php.ini (with restart wamp service...).
After that, PEAR packages are missing (needed for pagination for instance). Etc.

If you want to test it right now, i suggest to you download Ubuntu-server, install it in a small VM (200 megs is large enough). Enter the same commands and on your Windows, you can reach it with your browser.

I'll post the Windows version in a couple of days :)

;)

Xampp already has pearl installed and as for the memcache goes there is a thread for adding memcache to xampp here and Pearl has been part of xampp since version 1.7.2 the newest version of xampp can be downloaded here.

Been telling all the coders and owners about this, and there is a lot of excitement over the new look and the new code. Alot want to see it up and running so I am trying to translate it so that it will be in english.....just not sure what the google tranlator means by "import db to the railway" LOL

I've updated the SVN version :
  • Project in English by default
  • Translation almost finished.
;)

I'm going to shoot the Windows version tomorrow.

Thanks for the video, but I found it unwatchable the audio was terrible I had the volume turned up full and I could hardly hear a word you said, all I could hear was the annoying mouse click.

Just something to bear in mind if you do a Windows video.
